Well it’s that time of year here in Sweden. Time for bonfires and American football! As the newest cast member to the Northside Bulls I want to let every here in Sweden associated with American Football know how warmly I have been greeted by the community and how honored I am to have been asked to share my experience with these fine young gentlemen. 

Moving up a division is never an easy task. And in the Bulls camp we realize this and have prepared as best we can to meet the challenge. As work continues on our home field in Bergshamra we are not only meeting teams we haven’t played before we face the daunting task of opening our season on the road for four weeks straight. A proverbial double whammy! But I also know the gentlemen playing with the Bulls Senior team this year are unique breed. Young, but quick and aggressive, they have risen to each challenge before them. Their character as a group stands out like one of a team with many more years experience, this coupled with their constant reaching to become better players has given me great faith in facing this challenge. I think there will be some Senior series teams surprised by this perennial Division 1 power, known for their air attack. Time will tell! 

Defensively the team is deep with a nice mixture of experience and youth with an aggressive nose for finding the football. Lead by veteran safety Rikard Hagström
And anchored by defensive end J.P. Lannefors the Bulls should hold their own defensively.

On the offensive side of the ball Anders Onselius leads the play calling and air attack with veteran tackle Joakim Ullgren leading the big men up front.

Opening up against the Stockholm Mean Machine on the road is never an easy task. There size and experience can be intimidating to any team. Their power running and air attack is as balanced as I have seen in quite a while and presents a tremendous challenge to us defensively. Coupled with their ever imposing 4-2-5 defense most coaches in the Super Series have learned to respect this perennial power.
